The merger of Mikenti and JVL creates a strong HVAC and sprinkler unit in Central Finland

At the turn of the year, QMG merges its subsidiary Mikenti’s sprinkler business and JVL’s heating and sanitation business in Jyväskylä. The operations of Mikenti’s Leppävirta unit will continue as before. Mergers have no effect on the personnel.

– With this merger, we want to strengthen our business in Central Finland in the long term. When Mikenti and JVL combine their resources in Jyväskylä, we will be able to offer an even more competitive service in both heating and sanitation and sprinkler systems, says Mikko Sahikallio, QMG’s Regional Director for Central Finland and CEO of Mikenti.

After the merger, the name of Mikenti and JVL will be Mikenti, and Mikko Sahikallio will continue as its CEO. Jussi Lehto, who joined JVL in August, will continue as the director of Jyväskylä’s HVAC and sprinkler unit, and Pasi Viinikainen will be responsible for the sprinkler business under Jussi Lehto’s supervision. Petri Pajunen continues as the director of Mikenti Leppävirta’s unit.

– As a name, Mikenti is an important part of QMG’s identity, because it is the beginning and root of the entire group, it’s the M in the middle. Today, the group employs 1,500 people nationwide, Mikko Sahikallio states.

65 installations and service professionals work in the united Mikenti. JVL is known for its competence in HVAC and heating systems. Mikenti’s sprinkler systems take care of safety in numerous apartment buildings, industrial buildings and offices.
