Sprinkler specialist Operio joins QMG in the Helsinki region

Quattroservices, the largest subsidiary of QMG, strengthens its portfolio with significant sprinkler expertise when it acquires Operio’s business.

Quattroservices is known for demanding installations projects in the capital region and southern Finland. Currently, the company is responsible for large-scale projects such as HUS’s Laakso and Jorvi hospitals, and City of Hämeenlinna’s Assi hospital. In February 2024, HUS ranked no. 50 in Newsweek’s list of World’s Best Hospitals.

In addition to hospitals, Quattroservices’ main projects in recent years have included, for example, Metropolia’s Myllypuro campus, Helsinki-Vantaa Airport’s T2 terminal, Länsimetro and the Scandic Grand Central hotel.

– High-quality extinguishing systems are an important part of the quality and safety of buildings for both owners and users. We wanted to increase our services with sprinkler systems, so that we can offer customers an even wider range of services and seamless deliveries. We have come to know Operio as a responsible and productive company. Through this asset deal, the team of Operio will join the HVAC team of Quattroservices, and we will develop the sprinkler service together, says Kimmo Lehtonen, CEO of Quattroservices.

Ambition in a narrow segment

Operio is a company with a high level of expertise. CEO Ville Jokinen’s father, Antti Jokinen, an experienced sprinkler service professional, founded the company in 2011. Ville joined the company in 2015.

In recent years, Operio’s key sprinkler system projects in Helsinki have included, among others, the Amos Rex art museum, Maatulli school and the restaurant world of Itäkeskus shopping mall.

– We offer our customers a complete sprinkler system service, from design to installation and maintenance. We are used to working on various contracts, including office, industrial and service buildings, Ville Jokinen says.

– We did a management change a couple of years ago, when my father wanted to take more time off. Since then, together with Sakke Jansson, we have developed the company ambitiously, and our vision was to align with large projects. This deal creates an opportunity for us to do so as part of the Quattroservices organisation. And now Antti is also back in the team, Ville Jokinen states.

Quattroservices, which carries out HVAC projects, is the largest subsidiary of QMG. In 2023, its turnover was 42 million euros. The company employs 170 professionals and an additional 80 employees of subcontractors work on its projects.
