QMG Partners acquires building automation company Hausmatic in Finland
QMG Partners acquires Hausmatic, which specializes in building automation systems for apartment buildings in Uusimaa region in Finland. In 2020, Hausmatic had a turnover of approximately EUR 2 million, and it employs 8 automation professionals.
Hausmatic’s shareholders CEO Harri Havurinne and automation expert Roope Ylönen as well as the company’s personnel will continue in their positions. As a result of the transaction, Havurinne and Ylönen will become shareowners in the Nordic group, which was formed in 2021 by QMG and Sandbäckens.
Apartment-specific automation is coming
– The importance of building automation increases as we move towards apartment-specific solutions. Hausmatic focuses on residential buildings, and we have finetuned our processes to suit those projects. Since automation is always implemented at the final stages of construction, we make installation, testing and commissioning smooth and efficient, Harri Havurinne explains.
– Joining QMG enables us to expand our range of services and create professionally interesting prospects for our staff. I look forward to sparring with other QMG companies, Havurinne says.
QMG is creating a nationwide automation offering
– This transaction doubles QMG Partners’ automation business in Uusimaa. We now have two automation companies here, AET-Automaatio and Hausmatic, both of whom have strong expertise and a large customer base. In addition to these, QMG’s subsidiaries Quattroservices, Paikallis-Sähkö, Tammi Kiinteistötekniikka and ORS Service as well as Ajansähkö deliver building automation, says Pekka Pöykkö, who started as the CEO of QMG Partners at the beginning of 2022.
QMG has created a nationwide network of experts to support subsidiaries with specialist expertise. The network has been built by Matti Ranne, who is responsible for strategic projects in QMG. Until the end of 2021, Ranne also served as the CEO of QMG Partners.
– Hausmatic adds an important piece to our network and strengthens our competitiveness in automation, says Matti Ranne.
