Building engineering group QMG is to acquire security technology company FireSec Oy, which operates in Pirkanmaa and Southern Finland. The transaction will increase the services in the Helsinki metropolitan area.

Founded in 2019, FireSec provides municipalities, professional property owners, shopping centers and residential properties with technical security services such as fire detectors, alarm relays, security lighting, camera surveillance, and intrusion alarm solutions, as well as security technology maintenance and expert services.

FireSec employs seven professionals and had a turnover of approximately EUR 2.0 million in 2022. The company is based in Lempäälä, Finland.

Within the QMG Group, FireSec joins the QMG Partners network, which includes 11 building engineering companies in the Helsinki metropolitan area and Southern Finland. The acquisition does not affect the position of the personnel, as all management and staff will continue in their positions. Entrepreneurs Marko Saviahde, Saku Tölli, and Jarno Saviahde will join the shareholder programme of QMG’s Nordic parent company Nimlas Group.

– QMG wants to be a strong player in developing security services, and we are looking for more good companies that offer quality security services. FireSec and its contractors complement our service portfolio and geographical coverage. Marko, Saku, and Jarno have built a company whose expertise and customer service are widely recognised, says Pekka Pöykkö, Managing Director of QMG Partners.

In the security technology sector, professionalism and service mentality are key

Managing Director Marko Saviahde has been working in real estate security for more than ten years, including as an entrepreneur since 2019. As the industry evolves and systems become more diverse, FireSec is consistently developing its expertise.

– Customers are interested in new solutions such as remote monitoring, but reliability is the main requirement for security systems. As we are an authorised implementer of fire alarm systems, we are well placed to offer a wide and high-quality range of services around it. Another important factor is our ability to react efficiently and in a service-oriented way to meet different needs, because safety is always a critical issue, says Marko Saviahde, Managing Director of FireSec.

In Marko Saviahde’s opinion, joining QMG Partners and the QMG Group means opportunities for growth and expansion of customer service.

– We will strengthen our positions in the Helsinki metropolitan area and continue in Pirkanmaa, Turku, Ostrobothnia, and Central Finland. With the other QMG companies we will be able to offer our customers a wider range of services. QMG’s model suits us perfectly – we will continue to be responsible for our own business, and we will receive support from the Group in areas such as strategic planning and procurement, Marko says.
