Kokkolan LVIS-Palvelu buys the business of the HVAC service company PetenPutki

Building engineering group QMG is strengthening its position in Central Ostrobothnia. Its subsidiary Kokkolan LVIS-Palvelu acquires the business of PetenPutki Oy, a provider of HVAC maintenance and repair services. The acquisition will have no impact on personnel.

PetenPutki provides HVAC maintenance and repair services in Central Ostrobothnia. The company employs five installers and had a turnover of around EUR 1.0 million in 2022. Kokkolan LVIS-Palvelu employs 20 HVAC professionals and had a turnover of EUR 2.3 million last year.

– We want to build a diverse and comprehensive HVAC contracting and services repertoire for Central Ostrobothnia. PetenPutki brings a skilled team to Kokkolan LVIS-Palvelu for fast HVAC service tasks, says Heikki Kiiskilä, QMG’s Regional Director for Northern Finland, and also the Managing Director of Kokkolan LVIS-Palvelu.

– Now was the right time to merge. We have been discussing with QMG for a longer period, so we know each other and see the synergies, says Petri Forsell, owner of PetenPutki.

The staff of both companies will continue to be the same after the acquisition. Petri Forsell will become a shareholder in QMG’s parent company Nimlas Group.

The group respects locality and brings growth opportunities

According to Petri Forsell, joining the QMG Group will bring interesting opportunities for the company at a time when the coastal region of the Gulf of Bothnia is experiencing a real investment boom.

PetenPutki is known in Central Ostrobothnia as a workplace with an inspiring entrepreneurial culture. The company’s staff weight loss campaign received widespread attention last winter.

– We have always focused on well-being and health at work, and within QMG it’s good to continue that, says Petri Forsell.
