Paloilmoitinhuolto Jukka Pohjola, founded in 1999, focuses on the installation and maintenance of fire alarms, security light systems and smoke extraction systems in both new buildings and renovation projects. Their customers include public sector hospitals and healthcare properties as well as electricity contractors, construction companies and industrial companies.
In the last fiscal year, the company achieved a turnover of 1.3 million euros with an organization of 8 people. Service manager Juha-Pekka (Juha) Pohjola is responsible for business operations.
Building strong teams with FireSec
In QMG’s organisation, Paloilmoitinhuolto Jukka Pohjola will continue under its own name and begin cooperation with FireSec which operates in Pirkanmaa and the capital region with 12 professionals.
– FireSec joined QMG a year ago. Our operations are growing both in Pirkanmaa and the capital region. Now cooperation with Juha’s experienced team will give us extra boost. Both companies have specialists and experience from different industries, and we will be able to form strong teams for our customers, says FireSec’s CEO Marko Saviahde.
– Building and maintaining fire safety is an important service for our customers who want to minimise risks in real estate asset management. We play an important role in this, says Marko Saviahde.
Remote usability is increasing in fire safety systems
Juha Pohjola knows the development of fire safety technology thoroughly. A telecommunications technician by training, he has worked in the fire safety field for 35 years.
– Fire detectors, safety lights and smoke extraction improve safety and support rescue operations. In addition to system installations, maintenance and repairs, we take care of planning, inspections and testing of the equipment, Juha Pohjola says.
– As a new phenomenon, remote usability of systems is increasing. Leading brands already have these features in their devices. For us, this means constant updating our skills through training and learning. If you like technology that protects human lives, this is a truly inspiring profession, Juha Pohjola concludes.
