Satu Aromaa appointed as QMG’s Senior Legal Counsel
QMG has appointed Master of Laws, Satu Aromaa, as Senior Legal Counsel effective from August 19, 2024. Aromaa brings extensive experience in legal affairs from international construction and building services companies.
Aromaa has 20 years of experience in various legal roles within the real estate, construction, and industrial sectors. She has previously worked at YIT, Caverion, and most recently, Lehto Group. Her expertise spans contract law, corporate governance, and an in-depth understanding of the construction and building services industry.
– I have had comprehensive responsibility for legal matters in national industry companies and have worked in Nordic networks, supporting both project and service businesses. My role has also included corporate-level legal tasks, such as mergers and acquisitions, says Satu Aromaa.
– QMG is at an exciting stage, growing into a more significant national player in Finland and, as part of the Nimlas Group, advancing towards becoming the most profitable building services group in the Nordics. I am thrilled to join this growth journey and contribute to further developing the company’s operations, she adds.
The Group Supports Local Subsidiaries in Legal Matters
QMG, along with other Nimlas Group subsidiaries in Sweden and Norway, operates under a decentralized structure, where the subsidiaries function independently while utilizing the group’s support services.
– Supporting local companies that know their markets in legal matters is a key service offered by the group. I look forward to getting to know the leaders of these entrepreneur-driven local companies, so I can best support QMG’s businesses in their operations, Aromaa explains.
QMG, Growing Through Acquisitions, Focuses on Good Governance
Having expanded by six companies this year, QMG, under the leadership of CEO Tiina Koppinen, who started in the spring, has also strengthened the group’s expertise in procurement, sustainability, HR and communications.
– We are developing QMG into an even stronger national partner for sustainable building services and projects. Satu’s experience in developing governance practices in international companies, as well as her expertise in mergers and acquisitions, strengthens our group in line with our strategy, says QMG’s CEO Tiina Koppinen.
– I am delighted to welcome Satu Aromaa, who has had a long career in the construction industry, to QMG’s growth journey. Satu will support our future acquisitions and help our companies further strengthen their risk management. Satu is a well-respected and knowledgeable professional whose solution-oriented approach fits well with our agile culture, Koppinen adds.
